Friends of the FFFA,

Regrettably, the news about the fall of Ramadi to ISIS is true.  Thankfully, many former allies were able to escape to Habbaniyah prior to the collapse of the Ramadi defenses.   We will continue to support our former allies and their families in exile as they continue to struggle as displaced persons.

Col Abdul Rahman, though wounded recently, continues to resist and lead his Emergency Response Battalion against ISIS.

Please continue to provide whatever assistance you can.

Best wishes

A number of tribal chieftains in Al-Anbar have reportedly called for the intervention of US and Turkish ground forces to liberate the governorate from the "DA'ISH [Arabic acronym for the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, ISIL]." They attributed the need for foreign military assistance to the "weakness" of the Iraqi Army and police forces, according to independent Al-Sumariyah News.
